The Fire Department urges all residents who burn wood to make sure their chimneys are cleaned before the cold season begins.
The Sands Township Fire Department meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 7:00 PM at Station 1. The public is always welcome to attend.
The Fire Department is in need of people. You can get an application from any of the Fire Officers, the Township Office, or here. Please contact the office or a Fire Officer for information regarding training, pay and other details.

If calling from a cell phone, STOP moving. The GPS coordinates can possibly be electronically retrieved from the 911 dispatcher.

We are always looking for interested people to join our EMS Department, here is the application if you are interested. You may turn it in to the Township office or an EMS officer.
The UP Health System-Marquette is offering a School of EMT program beginning this fall, and is accepting applications now. Course Flyer SEMT Application Check with our EMS Coordinator or the Township Office about the Township helping with course costs.
